We commonly call ground squirrels- chipmunks. They are smaller than
regular squirrels, with attractive stripes on face and body and when
in a hurry, their tails stand straight up . Sometimes that tail is the
only clue that we have to the small animals running away from us,
because we can't see them clearly.
Chipmunks also tend to stuff their cheeks till they bulge, making them
look very comical indeed.
