yeah but that's not what i was alluding to... physical apples and commodores
are on the internet with live BBSes... they are physically linked to another
machine via serial cable and the other machine is handling the network comms
and passing that to the serial connection... the apple and commie don't know
they're taking calls over a non-POTS network... that's my understanding of how
they're doing it... something like 9600 is best speed because of the serial
capabilities of those old boxen...
