CK -=> My husband bought me a CROSS LINK fax/modem. I
CK -=>know, its a cheap and nasty but he wanted me to get
CK -=>on-line. However, the problem lies in that we lost the
CK -=>original dial string and the one that we devised only
CK -=>let's us call once then we have to shut down the program
CK -=>and re-open it again to dial again . Now does anyone know
CK -=>of a versital string that we could use all the time.

Some American modems don't recognise Australian dialtones. Mine doesn't.
My Init string is ATX3. The x3 makes it recognise the dialtone. this might¨
work on yours, then again it might not.

Ben
