Despite what many people say about rockwell 33600 modeems not being able

to connect to USR's at anything higher than 31200......



Here is proof that a KTX (Rockwell) internal WILL CONNECT (& Vice Versa)

to a USR Courier at 33600 under perfect conditions.



Perfect conditions meaning a 2 metre modular cable or if both ends of

the link are sitting on their exchanges (central offices).



Using Terminate 4 (dos) on NT 4.0  one end and Telix for windows on win95

the other end. (Which was using the KTX 28800 .inf file hacked for 33600)

Surprise surprise, and the file tranfer thoughputs in the 3880 cps range

on a 1meg & 2meg  zipped files.



So the problem lies (thats the right way to spell it in Telstra case) with

Telstra, not the modems.
