Certainly they are... which is why this MUST be made public. I don't
want you to trust me OR my motives; I want you to have the
information available so that you can satisfy yourself, in whatever
manner you wish. If you're inclined to trust either the boat rockers
OR the professional liars employed by the campaigns and the power
structure, do so. If not, pick your own expert and take hir the
code... or learn the language and sort it out yourself. Doesn't
matter, if you have the code to look at.

If the process is open and public, you, and everyone else, has the
option. If the process is closed and hidden, you don't have that,
and those of us who will never trust *any* government official on
*any* subject without twelve independent witnesses will KNOW we have
no reason to work within the system. The fact that they're fighting
hard to avoid this is all the proof we need for this batch of
bastards, but if they get to screw us here, we can count on the fact
that these bastards will never let go of power for the balance of
their unnatural lives.

Best advice I ever got from a lawyer was from my law prof in
college... "If a man insists on having the right to screw you written
into a contract, ignore everything he says about good will and good
faith -- he is GOING to screw you at the earliest possible
opportunity." Right now, the powers that be want the right to screw
us royally and forever written into their contract, and they promise
to be good boys... this time.

Sorry, they never have in my lifetime, and there's no reason at all
to think that once given absolute power they'll decide that they
really ought to straighten up and fly right. What's the saying?
"Insanity is repeating the same actions and expecting different
results?"

I'm not insane enough for that. Give them a curtain to hide behind
and room to run, and we're all permanently fucked.

               Albest,

                        Clayton
