I can't speak for those black one's,  but I can tell you that OMC's new EFI
doesn't 'use up head life'. I wonder how the head life might be shortened in
*any* motor?
So how have you been, John? I just got back from service school on our new
EFI's and I can tell you this -- Merc's sucking the hind tit on this
technology. OMC tried, and dumped, the orbital technology that Merc is
currently using because it has some drawbacks that were tough to overcome
(like how to develop the necessary pressure to start the engine in only a few
cranks of the flywheel). I'm gonna try and write a review of OMC's new EFI
in the next few weeks and I'll post it then.
