Hi folks,
If you haven't heard, Con. Sonny Bono was killed on a ski slope monday,as 
his
was the second high visibility death in as many weeks, I feel that I must 
erk
my knee up and respond.
At the risk of alienating the skiers on this list (of whom I am sure their 
re
many) I feel that something MUST! be done. Also, I am in a perfect position 
o
initiate this 
campaign as I myself have no interest and certainly no knowledge of this
inherently
dangerous and obviously Deadly so called sport.After reading about these
deaths 
my immediate (my knee is quivering here) gut feeling is that nothing short of
total elimination of skiing will make this country safe once again.That can 
e
accomplished over many years of legislation and subtle public brainwashing
through 
the media and in our schools and universities. The following are some of my
suggestions to get this started: 
Turn your ski's in to your local "Ski's for toys" program (you'll feel 
etter)
Write your con. suggesting the registration of very short ski"s
Urge regulation of ski's capable of high velocity and any modifications for
that purpose
Limit importation of ski's that look mean in any way
Ban so called "Ski Patrol Killer " ski wax
Ski wax should be manufactured with an abrasive of some sort ( slower is
better for now)
Discourage the teaching of proper skiing techniques in the home and schools
I won't sleep til this country is safe from ski's :)
