It's good that you don't have any links using McMail  :)
(there is a problem on slow machines, if McMail is connecting, because it's
too fast to send emsi info).

I'm to conservative for that ;)

I don't see problems of using a file for IPC, except for we can get a race
condision, but it can be solved by a semafore/lock file.
