| subject: | Auslinx 33.6k connect |
I am the new owner of a Auslinx Tassie Devil 33.6k external modem. I'm quite happy with its 28.8k performance (connects at 28.8k 100% of the time so far!) but why can't I connect at 33.6k at my ISP?? As far as I know the modem has a Rockwell datapump and is 33.6k compatible. My ISP is running a combination of Dataplex and Netcomm modems with 33.6k capability yet I can't even connect at 33.6k. Since my main reason for purchasing a 33.6k modem was to surf the net this is a major problem. Anyone who knows some good init strings for the modem or some form of solution to my problem please reply. or am I expecting too much from a cheapo $175 modem???? :-) Thanking you in advance. ---* Origin: Melbourne PC User Group BBS (3:632/309) SEEN-BY: 3/103 50/99 620/243 621/505 623/630 632/50 107 108 111 309 348 353 SEEN-BY: 632/360 371 373 525 530 553 561 562 601 635/503 544 728 639/252 SEEN-BY: 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 899 932 934 712/515 713/317 714/906 SEEN-BY: 800/1 @PATH: 632/309 107 360 50/99 711/808 934 |
