As an Australian who had to watch observatories burn this year I feel for
you all. I hope it all works out for the best. Good luck with the fire
control.

Clear skies, Thomas.

No, I don't have any images of the new vanes. I don't know when I'll be
able to get them. The mountain is closed at the moment. As you may have
heard in the news, we are having bad forest fires right now. Our telescope
(and several others) are on Mt. Bigelow and the next peak over, Mt. Lemmon
has a few more meter plus class telescopes.

As I write this we have been told that Summerhaven, a small village on Mt.
Lemmon, and the ski lodge on Mt. Lemmon are burning. All fire fighting
crews have had to leave the top of the mountain and the fire is spreading
fast. I do not know the plans to save the observatories. The observatories
above the ski lodge are in the most danger and there are people trapped up
there.
