Yep. That's the one. I thought it a riot. Skelly was on a
business trip to North Carolina years ago & there was a bass
tournament going on in the area. A lot of the fishermen were staying
at the same hotel. He talked to a few of them & says that Hiaasen
captured the mentality perfectly.

Indeed. OTOH, suing is the national sport here. When someone
reacts like that, it makes me wonder if the writer didn't hit a
little too close to the truth.
