Trev,
Although there definitely weren't a ton of responses to the modem
configuration inquiree, there were more than 4, including mine.
I haven't received any feedback to the question I asked at the
same time, however, so perhaps it never got out.
Once again, running vanilla Opus 1.79, am I in any better of a
position than I am with 1.73A so far as high speed connects are
concerned? I understand that I am supposed to tell the modem to
report the DCE speed to Opus rather than the DTE speed, but I'll
need a very basic explanation of what this means in layman's
terms for me to understand. That is, will Opus then respond to
callers who connect at 2400 baud just as it always has, etc., the
only difference being with connects of over 16.8k? Also, if
anyone knows how to tell a USR Courier v.Everything modem to
report DCE rather than DTE, please let me know as I was totally
without success in my search of the manual for the command to do
so.
Thanks for ANY response to this message, as I am starting to
think I'm not making it out of the net...
