    But most all of those who have to work with computers daily don't 
_program_ them, but are users.
    It's like driver's education.  We don't expect the schools to teach every 
kid to be an automotive engineer or even an auto mechanic...just how to _use_ 
the car.  And that's how driver ed has (satisfactorily) handled another 
product that long ago took over society.
    Colleges mis-prepair kids for the real world of computers.  They 
emphasize programming in coursework, but most all graduates will be more 
concerned with installing and using software.
