Hello andrew!

Ok, I see.

Some other programs come to my mind: SemPoint, WinPoint, APoint. However,
they're not only editors, but integrated packages with mailer etc. I also
like the look and feel of Jesper Sörensen's Gleipner; but that software
doesn't use the kind of messagebases you're looking for, I guess.

I see. :-)

I don't want to make you change your mind, but on my machine Java isn't
noticably slower than gcc. Having mentioned Kylix/Borland C++, you should
have a look at Borland's JBuilder as RAD. Rewriting MSGAPI also isn't
neccessary, you can access it via JNI (JavaNativeInterface).
Liking the language... well, actually I don't like it, either. However, I
like C even less. ;-)

Gerrit
