A better and more accurate way to put that might be, "Women can sometimes
do whatever men can do, except produce sperm, and men can sometimes do
whatever women can do, except give birth" but thats not very marketable.

In this particular case, the folly was not in the giving the guard duty to
a female, but, giving the guard duty to a small, older, presumably
physically weak person.
