The problem was that we posted in here expecting that those messages would ¨be private. A number of messages contained personal stuff, not directly ¨related to the ZCC or Fidonet. I could well have posted email addresses, ¨home address, travel details, family details that I would not want indexed ¨by Google and viewable by the world for ever more. Every committee needs a private work area where they can throw around ideas ¨without fear. The FTSC has a number of private echos for their working ¨groups. We also need a place to socialise now and then, to post a few ¨private messages about ourselves or our lives. It is easier to work with ¨people when you know a bit about them. But that is not going to happen if ¨some of us make all these messages available on the net for all to read.
