SM>>>>> I'm trying gather information on a possible AntlerLink break.

 SM>>

SM> Swamp cabbage and spanish moss? Wow! You're a brave moose.

It's really quite tasty with a little bit of cayenne to take the edge off,
but i wouldn't suggest that a vacationing moose try it on the first day
here. Just ease into it with a dollop of fern and a dot or two of tabasco,
then move up to the elm barque and then into the real stuff. Spanish moss
is nothing without cayenne, though.

 SM> Having
SM> said that, I'll freely admit that some of my own dietary habits may
SM> not be ideal. I blame it on being a bachelor moose, and can only
SM> hope that some comely moosette will decide to save me from myself.

"As the stomach breaks down the intake of fuel and renders it passable..."

Speaking of stomach, beware of haggis, no matter what that Mad Moose Mike fella says.

SM> Still, over the years I have picked up a few tips on maintaining a
SM> healthy balanced diet. One of them is the use of multi-vitamins.
SM> More recently, I've also discovered the salutary effects of including
SM> "Pepto-Bismol" as a regular part of my healthy diet!

Pink Stuff. Flavour it with wintergreen mint and you'll attract lady meese
from all directions.

 SM>> {hiccup} [GRONK!]

SM> Very impressive! On the other hoof, if that ever becomes painful,
SM> see above remarks regarding the joys of "Pepto-Bismol." ;-)

With a little practice amymoose can do it without offending a soul.

SM>> Eh? I broke an antler once, trying to discourage a 1957 Fargo
SM>> truck for doing whatever he was going to do to that cow moose he
 SM>> had somewhere inside.

SM> This may come under the heading of "no good deed goes unpunished."

It does, indeed it does; the broken antler has never totally recovered\, it
being 7 cm shorter than the unbroken one. Now I know how a stone crab
feels.

SM> Still, I hope she was suitably grateful? (Naturally I'm using
 SM> "grateful" in a totally non-sexist single-meaning way.)

SM> Anyroad, I'm happy to see that proper MooseChat AntlerAlignment has
SM> now been established for Don. What really worried me was the chance
SM> of an intermittent problem or a partial AntlerLink break. A partial
SM> AntlerLink break can be more painful, and harder to fix, than an
SM> outright total break. I think it's sorta like how a splintered bone
SM> causes more trouble than a cleanly broken bone.

That could be, and it could also be the weather. Since I retired to the
sunny part of the US I have had no need to touch the antler-rotator.

SM> I've no idea why, but all this talk about splintered bones and broken
SM> antlers has given me the urge to up my calcium intake.

I've become friendly with a local milk cow for that reason.

SH>>> From the "SEEN+BY" lines, this should be simple, even if a
SH>>> little manual intervention is needed somewhere along the line.
SH>>> It's not as if the AreaFix program et al are always foolproof,
 SH>>> eh?

Absolutely not, that's why the gene pool is so busy creating more adept fools.

SM>> Mail tossers are so ingenious; so are the people that think they
 SM>> can "repair" them..

This would scare any moose.

SM> 'Course my time might be more usefully spent doing something really
SM> weird, like starting to "gate" MooseChat into the alt.moose UseNet
 SM> newsroup.

Make sure the Usenet meese are muskeg-broke, please?
