Paul,

Only in FIA racing. Racing in other sanctions it is at best let your = team
mate get a lap back, and then "Katie bar the door".

I do have to say that I admire Michael Schumacher's podium action and =
then letting Barrichello finish first in at Indy. He is a class act and =
an amazing race car driver.

Arranging the order of your team isn't 'rigging' the race. It's been a
traditional part of motor racing for ever. In the old days they could =
even
swap cars, so when your leading driver's car broke he could take over =
his
teammates and the win was a win.

Under the new rules the teams will still be able to require their =
drivers
don't race each other. And getting one driver past another when the =
leader
is cooperating isn't difficult. I don't see that the rule change makes =
any
  difference.

  Paul
