I had the day off today and decided to take my wife's Durango in for an alignment. She had hit a curb about 2 years ago and the right front tire was wearing bad on the outside of the tire. First mistake was going to Midas - who had the lowest price on the alignment. I got there at 11:30am and they were not finished until 3:00pm. A 3 1/2 hour alignment. Note: No one else was in the place but me. One customer! They kept telling me they were having problems getting it aligned. Then after 3 1/2 hrs, they tell me it is done, but not 100% because the control arm is bent. Why they did this and waited 3 1/2 hours to tell me this is beyond me. They said it is "safe" and that they did the best they could. I drove it down the road and the stearing wheel was almost 90 degrees of (to the right). I turned around, dropped it back off and told them to straighten the wheel. They first said that is how I must drive it until I get a new control arm and I told them the car was in better shape before I took it there. I told them if they don't fix the wheel, I will void the charge and take it somewhere else. They then said they could fix the stearing wheel and 45 minutes later, it was straight again. Seems to be ok. 4 1/2 hours of pure hell.
