These are very good cameras. The tube is typically much smaller than that of a telescope. Also, it is not clear if this uses 35 or 120 film. I have one for my private use, and this uses 120 film. This is so-called medium format and can readily be purchased, althought it is a bit more expensive. If you get it and do not end up wanting it, please contact me. I could consider buying it myself. One of the nicest features of these is that they are mechanical, so you do not have to bother with them not working at lower temperatures like modern battery operated cameras. I thought I was doing the cool modern thing to buy the fanciest most expensive Nikon photographic camera. I cannot use it most nights because the shutter fails due to the batteries not being strong enough at lower temperatures. These temps are not so low, still well above freezing. As a result, I mainly use my ancient Zeiss Ikon. Sadly, the mechanical shutter no longer works properly and jams sometimes. I am hoping to repair this.
