If it was C, it would compile with an ISO C compiler.  There's a 100% ISO C
conforming compiler available from IBM that works on MVS.  Not much help to
me if I've got code in AWK.  BTW, if you're going to call AWK C, you may as
well call C++ C.  BFN.
