BC> I also have 3 different copies of the BW.EXE file:

BC> Then I copied BWAVE386.CFG to:
BC> BW386-1.CFG
BC> BW386-2.CFG
BC> In BW1.EXE & BW2.EXE I used the Norton DiskEdit to change the

Mainly just different configurations in the Preferences, though in
one I had the address book set up with a small mailing list for email.
Way back when, I had one set up for no compression on the ZIP files
for one specific BBS which wasn't compatible with PKZIP v2.04.
That was before I learned I could have done the same thing under:
Preferences
Packet Preference Override
File and String Preferences
Compress Reply Cmd C:\BW\PKZIP.EXE -e0 {at}F {at}I
This was well before the Y2K bug.
Now I'd have to substitute a modified BWREPFIX batch file command.
BC> It takes up less hard drive space then having 3 different directories.
BC> I did that way back before the age of Win2000.
DC> As I have lots of disk space, it is not as critical. But, I hate
DC> having too many directories as it can be tough to keep track of
DC> where things are "hidden".
I think that was back when I was using a 500meg HD.
