Did'ja hear what Tom Enright said to Robert Craft?
-=> On 01-17-98 08:17 Robert Craft said to Justin Baustert <=-
ML> Do you believe that customers should pay for services
ML> rendered?
JB> Most definitely.. Can everyone pay in every case? Doubtful.
RC> Not in full, not in one payment, no. But why not a payment
RC> plan?
TE> Hospitals can, and do, precisely this. My ex-wife, while we were
TE> still married, ran up several thousand worth of non-covered
TE> medical expenses. It took me just over three years to repay the
TE> debt. This was paid directly to the hospital, I refused to take
TE> out a loan and have to pay interest in addition to the debt.

I've done it too. My infant got really wheezy and scared the hell out of my
wife and I so we ran him up to the emergency room. They charged us $250 for
treatment (putting a mask over his face and bubbling oxygen through a
salene solution to make a mist) and another $100 for the doctor. We
nded
up paying $64 a month (directly to the hospital) to take care of it.
We went to his pediatrician the next morning and he did the same thing for
$50!
Hmmmmmmmmmmm...
... A doctor felt a patient's purse and said there's no hope
