Depends entirely on subject matter in both cases... motivation. Men
hear a lot of things but refuse to respond to them; women don't quite
seem to understand this.

Define Wilderness. Under a lot of "Official" designations, which are
usually the source for this, "Wilderness" includes basically any
place which hasn't been paved or clearcut in the last six months. A
friend of mine actually proved a point by having his backyard <50 x
75 feet> declared "Wilderness Wildlife Habitat" by the State of
Texas. There are houses on all four sides and you can yell from one
to another with no difficulty.... but it's covered in trees and there
are no roads, hence it's wilderness.

Urban legend... see Snopes.

Winter Solstice, too... It's those long nights.

A Starbucks.

That's one story. Another is that it comes from early typesetting
work, where a p and q are mirror images of each other... and type is
set working backwards, right to left and with the letters reversed.
The most common error, working fast, was for the p and q to be
switched; the second was for them to be misfiled when the tray was
broken down after the run....

               Albest,
