Dunno...  if charm helped staying power, more charming seconds would

Hmmm...  according to your theory, though, there couldn't have been much
for me to inherit, as I'm the oldest child of oldest children, and my
mother's father was also an oldest child, as was my father's mother. :)
Hubby, on the other hand, was* a second child.  His father was oldest of
two, and his mother was youngest of four (and a twin to boot).
