| subject: | Problem running Bwave386 |
-=> Quoting Dave Bombere to All <=- DB> I'm a registered user of Bwave386 mail reader and I love the program. DB> Only trouble is since I upgraded my computer, AMD 3000+, I'm unable to DB> run the program. It just dumps me back to the dos prompt when I DB> execute Bwave386. DB> Is it because my new computer is too fast? Usually it is because the program can't find itself. What operating system are you using (WinXP)? How do you start BlueWave? The start proceedure HAS to be the equivalent of starting it IN the BLUEWAVE folder. All of the programs that Blue Wave needs to run properly should be in it's folder for ease of configuration. All paths should be listed in full, not just the program name. Make sure that the latest version of DOS4GW.EXE is in the BLUEWAVE folder, since BlueWave386 needs it to run in 386 mode. Also the BWAVE386.VMC file that is the control file for the DOS4GW.EXE when it starts up. An improperly loading DOS4GW would explain why why BW386 dumps right back out to DOS. ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: BBS Networks {at} www.bbsnets.com 808-839-6036 (1:10/345) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
