Ditto? My point here was simple, pirating, whether its done by big
groups with people on the inside of the company or some little kid that
takes the game from the store, copies and returns it, has its
pros and cons.
Pros would be advertising and saturation, the big pirate groups get a
few hundred games an month all around the world, sometimes before they
come out, sometimes not, but they are available to most very easily on
the Inet. Maybe someone (this seems to be the more refined pirates
arguement) decides that the game is good and that purchasing it is a
good idea, well not everyone is so perfect or has the money to be so
kind, just like everything out there people take advantage. Also with
pirating comes popularity people play it and spread the word 'the games
kicks butt!' and as we all know word of mouth is the best advertising,
so the game is more widely bought
Cons on the piracy side are of course the loss of money and the fact
that to some its 'immoral' heh its hard to believe anythings immoral
these days, armed bank robberies and whatnot? Morality is not the issue
on everyones mind these days it seems...
-> There is no way of making me pay money for stuff that does not
-> deserve any money to be paid. (to extreme: i will not pay money for
-> stuff that i can crack
-> and use without paying... )
Heh no of course not, not inferring in any way here that you pirate but
you know, if you dont like the game, return it to the store from whence
it came, that is legal, they may glare at you and think little evil
things in there heads but oh well the game wasnt worth it so you
returned it, heh buy a bunch of games, play em all return em all, decide
which is best go back and purchase that one... heheh
joe.
