It seems the internet has a prety strong hold on messaging here(USA) anyway. I'm inclined to think fido's saveing grace may well be the builtin spam filters called "sysops". :) I've managed to merge my dos bbs software fairly well with inet technology Ie.. telnet and http/php here. (php.vtdl.net).
