On my 13", I have tested several guitar wires: I have started with
nø"8" diameter (8/100 of an inch => 0.2 mm) and have increased
until the wire didn't break. It was a long and irritating test since I
broke wires nø8,10,12,14,15,16...
, and I finnaly found a nø17 to be OK.
To be sure you could choose nø18.
