As i have it now is Cable Modem Connected to Port2, Uplink Cable to Router A a
VO/IP Router - Then Port 1 is my Other Router. I wait for Router A to get IP
then I turn on Router B and it gets it's IP. I don't have DHCP on any
computer or router enabled. The 2 Routers get IP's from mediacom. 4 of the 6
computers I have are running 2 NIC's. My Gentoo Box has 1 nic for external and
1 internal. I have a gig switch. I ran out of room on the switch and had to
buy another for more ports. The 2 routers come in handy for testing. The
VO/IP router only has 3 ports for computers and 2 for phone the other router
has 4 ports. I run 2 FTP servers. All though one is mounted to the Gentoo box
you can get to J5 through either router Gentoo can get to it through giglan.
That's what I love about Gentoo Linux you can mount all the shares to it...
All though with this setup sometimes atleast 1 router will go down... If I keep
pumping traffic it stays stable. They told me for some reason mediacom does
some kind of reset where they go offline for a splitsecond daily. Rememeber
what I said I had to turn one router on at a time to get a IP. Happens maybe 3
or 4 times a month. The Gentoo backdoor helps. Unless it is a crappy ass
cheap router. I can't think of anything else. For some reason sometimes the
non VO/IP router fails to renew lease.

Far as the VPN I have it kind of working I can see my LAN on wireless internet.
I still haven't figured out how to tunnel to my home network to get within the
IP range of my home ISP. i thought of Proxy... I have that running just for
fun.. Don't use it.. i read i can't login VPN and use the proxy either..
Doesn't work that way. I tried SSH login.. I don't know how to set up tunnel.
I thought of fetchmail. Haven't figured out how to set up SMTP... I haven't
got a soultion yet for getting within my home ISP ip range. I can't change the
gateway on my DUN adapter or it may work. Problem is all though I have VPN it
still uses my Sprint adapter.
