Thanks for the reply,
I too have known about this little dilemma. But I always make it a rule of
thumb to logon to any service I use AFTER 9pm. So I usually do not ever see
the "lag" that many people see during the evening. I have also heard another
drawback to cable modems is the UL ratio. I have heard that since cable TV
was originally made for 1-way transmission, cable modems are not too good at
ULing. But I suppose that is a sacrifice I can deal with. Especially if I can
get the benefit of screaming DL time.
