How do they get it out, or do they have the simplicity of the trumpet part
being a thru-tube?
The Benjamin tube is only open at one end, though if you had all the
special tools you could take the valve apart. Quite a mess to get apart
and together without the correct tools (read: single purpose - not
available at Sears.) Then you could drive the ball bearing back out that
way - through the small air inlet hole in the valve body.
I like your idea. I'd hard solder a rod to the proper size ball bearing.
There might be a problem getting it started as the tube tends to narrow
slightly at the barrel end. It's worth a try.
