subject: I need to test my 33.6k

Hi Hui,

HKH> I was wondering if there are any local (Victorian) BBS's that have
HKH> 33.6k modems installed and in use. I would very much like to call them
HKH> to see if my Auslinx Tassie Devil 33.6k modem is capable of its rated
HKH> speed. So far I have only been able to achieve a maximum of 28.8k from
 HKH> a 33.6k modem which I called.

My friend's got one of those, they're good modems. I connected to his at 28.8K
and we got nearly 3400 cps on ZIP files back and forth. The compression
at 115200 port speed didn't work very well though. I think the Devil would
be capable to do 33600, much more so than the Dynalink.
