Hmm, I thought it defaulted to port 2000, but I could be wrong. :)
 
Very odd that it's freezing for you. I wonder if your version of curses
implements non-blocking reads improperly? If you can get a stack backtrace,
that should shed some light on the problem. Or better yet, a system call
trace (with user symbols from the ELF libs if your OS supports that).
 
As for the SF CVS -- yeah, I was having trouble last night myself. Grumble.
