ML> TW> Sorry I don't do Facebook ML>you don't have to have a FB account to view someone's pictures or ML>other cont ML>if they make it available to everyone... TW> the picture in quesation that I was refered to was NOT public at that time, yes... but still... the blanket statement of "i don't do facebook" was what i was aiming at... it doesn't matter if "you" have a FB account or not... the statement implys that "you" wouldn't "go there" even if the item of discussion was public and open to everyone... ML>besides, FB isn't "that bad" and one only need use common sense ML>just like in any other area so as to stay out of the bad stuff... TW> I did not imply that it was Bad, Just that I don't do facebook. i guess this is a simple matter of perspective, then... see above for further clarification... FWIW: i was of similar mind a few years ago... until i actuall took a look, tested the watersm and learned more about the site ;) then i found not only the networking aspect (ie: networking with those around you) but also the games and other services FB offers... if i had to offer a guess, i'd say that i now spend <80% of my time (outside of other activities) on FB simply because it offers a much larger audience than any BBS can or has ever offered... there are times that i share items of interest (to me) that other might be interested in that would never have been posted on any BBS... articles from "the register", nasa, various government entities, and even just plain old funnt stuff like that posted on damnyouautocorrect.com (which has screenshots of text messages from smartphones where the automatic spelling correction has "twisted" words into something "else" quite unintended ;) )\/(ark* Origin: (1:3634/12) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 3634/12 123/500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
