Build a computer an idiot can use, can't complain when they DO.
I like Macs, I really do, but I just don't like them as much as the
dealers do, and getting one configured the way I want it is just
prohibitive/masochistic. Getting a PC the way I want it is just a
matter of plugging the pieces together and installing the software
for it, and doesn't really cost much more than an off-the-shelf model
except for my time.... Albest,

I have changed out every piece of this PC I have over the years. I just have
to remember to discard the old pieces that don't work anymore. Learning to
plug things in yourself saves on repair fees. It may take me a little longer
than a techinician, but I only pay for parts anymore. What I've heard about
Macs is that a technician is the only person allowed inside those boxes.
Instant fees. Not much flexibility in that. Nobody I've known who has a
Mac ever pretties up that interface, which looks often like a windows 3.1
screen.
