My NC had a cmos failure on his MB did the same thing, and since the NEC was 
linked by TRANX to his mailer time, both systems went off in space.
Better start looking for a new Motherboard, but it could just be the battery 
(if you're lucky).  This would _assume_ you've done a virus scan and 
eliminated any other loose cannons running simultaneously in your OS.
