I spoke too soon about my mom's system in her car.  The daggone thing went
on the fritz yesterday am, and she took it to our friendly Ford dealership
to see what happened.  They are not sure, but they do know that it will
be cheaper to replace with a new system than try to repair - but all the
new systems that will be covered by warranty/insurance have CD player
rather than tape player.  So next Monday am she takes it in to have it
replaced.
