That's it.  Those songs of his tht seem to have had great public appeal
were nonsense like "blowin' in the wind" which, IMHO, is a little
juvenile.  I've heard more compelling music from Christina Aguilera!
Godnozewhy Dylan is considered to be such an icon, as you say.  And he
doesn't even assume the mantle of greatness with anything like good grace.

I have been known to buy an entire album on the strength of a single track 
that I like.  But I can't think of a single track of his that I would be 
willing to spend money on.
