when i've been on the road in the big truck, the engine is not turned off
until the end of the mission or when fueling up... i don't know about
others but ISTR that part of it is also fuel economy... it takes more to
get started than it does to idle on... and when you're looking at only
(maybe!) 9 or 10 MPG, it can add up real quickly...

i'm still waiting on "them" to come out with big trucks that are
set up like the railroad trains... their engines are used to drive
electrical generators which then turn the wheels... heck, if CSX can move a
ton of material some 400+ miles on one gallon of fuel, imagine what a big
truck could do with the same or similar setup ;)
