Hey Nancy! I honestly believe that both of us expected us to be in a different place then we were and were heading at the time. For the mostpart, I think she'd agree with this assessment but it would be better if whe spoke for herself, which as luck would have it she is really good at. Unfortunetly ... errrrr ... maybe fortunetly? ... she isn't here in the DADS echo so we'll never be entirely sure. I have some degree of confidence in my mentioned reason. NB> evidence of shying away from what could be hurtful down the road. For sure. Like I said before, I have yet to meet Ms. Right, if indeed there really is a Ms. Right at all. I believe I've done the right thing all this time and saved everyone who could have been concerned much grief especially myself. Not to say that I've lived an exempliary life or not experienced any grief simply by staying single but I still think the right course was chosen given the options that presented themselves or whatever. Tough to say for sure one way or the other. NB> Certainly understandable... and it isn't just animosity and rancor NB> that NB> causes the pain, although that certainly intensifies it. That too. I doubt pain can be avoided. It can and does happen despite good intentions. MK>> marriage. Not sure if that means anything. NB> Probably doesn't mean that much, in the long run... So far it hasn't. To be quite honest I never even thought about it until I wrote it. How important is that? NB> Read carefully above...?? "two failed BEFORE one that stuck" 2+1=3 NB> :) Exactly! Third time which throws my theory out of sync. Perhaps my theory is sound and you are out of sync? NB> that worked against me until I was willing to pull back until I knew NB> better what I really wanted/needed and what would last... Sounds like an excellent idea. NB> hmmm... You may have more in common with my son... ;) Could very well be true. NB> things I should have learned along the way... :) Kids don't see me NB> as NB> "one of them", but as a favored aunt, at best... ;) I always thought they think of me as one of them, but it could be that they see me as an easy mark and are really good at pretending ... which indeed they are ... so I suppose the jury is still out on this issue.
