I bought a KTX 33.6 external. Tried everything. It won't connect at 33.6K to
my BBS. It connected once only at 33.6 to my ISP (that's internet talk).
However I consistently connect at 28.8k; and 31.6 sometimes. Also, I've
read similar complaints from owners of higher priced modems. Has to
do with line quality and whether BBS modems like Rockwell chips. So,don't be
too downheartened.
