Hi All,


I need a bit of advice. I recently replaced my Avtek 28.8 VFAST modem with 
a Banksia 33.6 MyFastModem. Since doing so I NEVER connect at speeds 
greater than 24.6. The Avtek ALWAYS connected at 28.8. Why is this so ? 
What can I do about it ? On both modems I use the factory default settings. 
I've tried a couple of changes, eg. compression settings, but to no avail. 
Any ideas ?
