>>> Clarence Hogan on Universes
WE> That which is the universe is ever persistent clarity of mind,
WE> orderly yet elusive. Chaotic the multiverse, perpetually random
WE> confusion persistently intruding upon the universe. For respite from
WE> both is the nulliverse, the never present, perceivable only at its
WE> gateway transitions of sleep, death, birth, unconsciousness, and
WE> trance. Clarifying all of this, however, creates yet additional
WE> confusion.
WE> No, there are pockets of chaos or as you might put it hell.
CH> Hummmmm, ok, now can you describe the pockets of chaos
Whenever you are agitated for example.
CH> If you say so, but you sure could have fooled me for I thought that
CH> mathematics explained it all!
Nope, as a matter of fact the actually proved that some things are
undecidable and others uncomputable. They also suspect that some things, tho
computable, will take too long.
CH> And just how do we go about applying these other attributes to the
CH> universe itself? Or do you consider the universe to be a thinking
CH> entity?
Does the universe think? Well if you're willing to assume that people
actually do some thinking then as there are a bunch of them in the universe,
then the universe does do some thinking.
CH> Hummmmm, since you have not defined multiverse and nulliverse as of
CH> yet, I would be hard put to make any speculation as to the validity
CH> of your statement here!
How about chaos and nothing?
CH> Since I have yet to comprehend the term nulliverse, how can I
CH> possibly deny that which I do not fully understand?
You're getting it backwards. The multiverse can't be fully understood.
As there nothing really to comprehend in the nulliverse, it's easy to deny.
Here's a Zen koan. Where is a man when he's asleep.
CH> ... Once upon a time there was no time and so it shall be again! :)
In no time at all time began for its time had come.
... I think, therefore the universe thinks.
