-=> Quoting Dale Shipp to Bruce Clark <=- DS> You can do all of that with only one copy of the executable, and no DS> need to edit it with Norton's. The way that I do it is open DS> Bluewave by including the config file as a parameter, i.e. DS> BWAVE.EXE bw_arc.cfg for the copy I run on my archive files and DS> BWAVE.EXE bw.cfg for the normal run. DS> Each config file is set up to point to different working DS> directories etc. so that the two copies do not step on each other's DS> toes if running at the same time. I think I finally read something about that in the document file. I could have redid things, since I was running them from a Win 3.11 PIF file, and it would only have been a matter of adding those parameters to the executable line. My problem is trying to remember to do that when I actually start the program from DOS. Different: Work Directory Reply Directory and make sure not to open the same message packet with both BW at once. Is there a place to change the name of the temporary message file name (MSGTEMP.TXT), so more then one message/reply can be written at a time? That was another reason I did multiple EXEs: MSGTMP1.TXT, MSGTMP2.TXT Since I used the same B&W color scheme on all of them, I didn't need to change the _BWCOLOR.CFG in the EXE. ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: BBS Networks {at} www.bbsnets.com 808-839-6036 (1:10/345) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
