Ahhh.. but you miss the point, the mouse port and SIO are not related. SIO
can define the comm port however you tell it and your modem software can use
whatever address you declare it to use. You can also use whatever IRQ you
want including the IRQ the mouse is using as this is a virtual IRQ for the
software and has nothing to do with any real IRQ in the system. In the
virtual session for that particular DOS window Telix will "hear" an IRQ. Try
the following:
Device=C:\SIO\SIO.Sys (1,3F8,4) (2,Internet:2f8,None:3) (3,3E8,4)
(4,Internet:2E8,None:4)
And setup telix on com2. Also, is SIO registered? If so, drop Ray Gwinn a
line, if not, drop him a line anyway and tell him that registration is
dependent on telix working ok. He will know if telix was written well enough
to handle the software. Also, will telix use a fossil driver? If so, add the
device =c:\sio\vx00.sys.
Also, can telix see com1 and use it correctly?
