I don't have one in front of me, and it's been awhile...
1. Release any tension on the pump lever by opening an inch or two from its
closed position.
2. Remove the tiny screw from the face of the front pumptube plug.
3. Push the pumplever pivot pin out from the side closest to the hole in
the face of the plug you just removed the screw from. Notice which side
the groove in the pivot pin is on (should line up with the hole the tiny
plug screw goes in - that's what holds the pin.)
4. Pull the pumplever away from the slot in the pump tube exposing the
complete lever. The lever is still attached (by the link riveted to it) to
the pump piston assembly.
5. Remove the front plug.
6. Slide the pumplever link up towards the end of the pumptube.
7. Align one of the holes in the tube (the same holes that you just removed
the pivot pin from) with one of the holes in the pump piston assembly that
hold the link in place. Both link holes will NOT line up at the same time.
8. Remove the link pin by pressing it out the side that is completely
aligned using a smaller-than-hole-diameter tool from the other side.
9. The pump assy. should then drop into your hand with the link attached to
it.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the pump cup in the next step.
Note: Check the alignment of the holes in the pump piston assembly. When
you reassemble the gun the holes must be in the same position (relative
top-to-bottom of the gun.)
10. Remove the pump piston by drawing it out through the end of the pumptube.
I don't have any advice on removing the dent. Just remember tha the tube
you're working on is made of brass and a little gentle tapping may go a
long way. The problem would be possibly going to far and having the
pumpcup not seal in that area allowing any built up pressure to escape.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
