Please bear with me for a moment while I tell you why I provoke Mr. Ceppa:
In all of my time in Fido, which dates to the 1980s, Dan Ceppa is the most
cosmopolitan, most well spoken, most profoundly intelligent person I have
encountered in this forum.  I provoke him because I want more from him.  I
listen in vain but with thirsty ear for this poetry:

DC> Now go fuck youself with you dung clotted spoon!

The line I quote was in a debate with Vern Humphrey, who sat humble in the
face of such polemics, defeated.  Is there a higher plain?

Consider this also.  In a religious discussion involving Old Testament
scripture and the presence or lack thereof of unicorns in the Bible, Matt
Eggleston was close to closing the debate in favor of no unicorns.  But Matt
was not quite ready for this clever - yet subtle - aside from Dan Ceppa:

Dan Ceppa's routine subjunctive construction is made compelling by the
archaic - and unexpected - spelling.  Who knew that in medieval stone
carving, the "V" was easier to chisel than the "U?" 
Moreover, who knew that
the use of that "V" placed unicorns where they were not previously found?
King James?  I think not!  I long for this sort of intellectual depth, hence
I bait Dan Ceppa for more of it.
