| subject: | Windows 3.1, Photoshop 4.0 and DropBox |
There's an interesting article linked to on Slashdot about a user setting up Windows 3.1, Photoshop 4.0, DOSBOX and Dropbox to create a virtual graphics environment that runs on anything DOSBOX runs on - most linux distros, freeBSD, Mac, and even Android! http://news.slashdot.org/story/13/01/28/1625230/why-a-linux-user-is-using-windo ws-31 Drill into the article and there's a link to a user who set up a FreeDOS VM image with MS networking and IP networking apps built-in. Looks like a nice starter to any retro-computing project. Also, I ran into Calmira, a tool to skin Windows 3.1 to look like Windows 95/XP. kooky! http://calmira.net/ --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32* Origin: http://realitycheckbbs.org | information is power.
