-=> Quoting Dan Ceppa to Bruce Clark <=- DC> One thing that I did do that needed to be corrected was when I DC> copied in the files a while back. What should have been in DC> the c:\bwave folder got copied into the c:\bwave\bwave folder DC> instead. The bw config file didn't work as expected. BC> After copying the packets to the "temporary" directory, I can still BC> access, and open them, with BW. BC> They still retain all of their marks from before the move. DC> All the marks seem to work that way for me. The only DC> difference I see is that the pkt may appear "not read" until DC> I open it. Once I open it, all prior marks are still there DC> and the read/unread stats show up again. Now you are referring to as to whether the packet has been read, not individual messages. That happens when the BWAVE\DATA\PKTSTATS.BW already has a "BBSNAME".### listed. It has to make another listing with the directory structure. The normal listing just has the packet name, since they are in the default Download Directory. Which brings up a mistake I made... The "Open Mail Packet" list is kept in BWAVE\DATA\PKTSTATS.BW The Flags & Marks info are kept in the "BBSNAME".### packet in the "BBSNAME".XTI file, which is ZIP'd into it when the packet is closed. When you "Save" a message, with the header, the header includes the Flags & Marks for Read/Replied. "Saved" is assummed, so it isn't included. I've been wondering if Jean has his "Work" directory located on a Ramdrive. He could be loosing data before it is saved back to the packet, which means al he opens is the original packet. ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: BBS Networks {at} www.bbsnets.com 808-839-6036 (1:10/345) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
